I’m so excited to share this. It took a lot of patience, and four long months, but I’m finally weaving on my David III.
Jane, your videos have taught me so much and eased my fear of a floor loom. This is so much fun!

Congrats! I found it important to always have a project ready to go once finished with one. It sure gets easier with practice. I am very excited for you. I love weaving and Jane’s classes have kept me with ongoing projects too!
I’m grateful for the kits. Otherwise I’d be paralyzed by so many ideas. I’m going to warp Parrot next.

I have just found out mine won't be arriving until the end of September now! Sob! Well at least by then, it will be my major crafting time. Summer is too full of gardening chores, so when the nights draw in, my fingers start to twitch!
My Spring II has been delayed as well. It's frustrating, but not as if I have nothing to weave on in the meantime. I thought if I wound a big long warp onto my Ashford table loom, that would make the new loom arrive sooner (like finding your lost umbrella the minute you buy a new one), but no such luck!
So happy for you Deb! I have a Spring II on order, hopefully arriving near the end of this month. Until then, I'm weaving on an Ashford 8 shaft table loom with the stand and partial treadle option. Enjoy Parrot--I love those colors.

When did you order yours and where are you based? Mine is coming from Holland as I’m based in the UK. Apparently there is an issue with parts… I’m guessing the wood as there is a huge pressure on building materials at the moment. Fingers crossed.
I ordered the loom back in January. I think they all come from Holland, but I'm in the United States, specifically California's Central Valley. My loom is actually on the boat, but it got delayed. I think my delivery is now looking like the end of this month or very beginning of next month. Of course this will be right after I have surgery which will limit my right arm movement for a few weeks.
It took about four months to get mine. But it also kept getting delayed. We kept joking about it being on a boat that was sunk by Russia. I hope your arrives soon, Sarah.
Oh timing is everything! Hopefully you will recover quickly and be able to enjoy your weaving. I have the loan of a 40 cm Jane on a stand, which I love but really want to try out some of the samples on Jane’s school without having to adjust the sizes. I think I’ll whip up some scarves while I wait! Good luck!

I almost bought an Ashford 8 shaft table loom! They weren't available and I was frustrated. That was when I got interested in going directly to a floor loom. I am so glad I did, even though I still had to wait months to get it.
I was looking at the Jane table loom and then saw Jane’s video for the David III …. She’s far too good at promotional videos! Lol! I, too, love the weaving lessons and am enjoying the learning process.

May I please ask you what width your David III is? I've ordered the 90, but yours looks a very generous size.
Mine’s the 110. My husband insisted I go big. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and now I will be able to make bigger blankies!

You and me both! I keep telling myself that is my next challenge, and I keep replaying Jane's double-weave lessons. Still a bit scared, though. But then I was like that about changing the tie-up for twill, but that was easy!

We can indeed! I’m still wondering if I will be able to get my head around using the treadles. But it’s got to be better than lifting my arms to change shafts!
She does simplify things beautifully. Just the lesson on good shuttle technique was invaluable.
I too started out on a rigid heddle that I barely used till recently and then I saw an advert for the Jane in a weaving magazine and thought “8 shafts? Collapsible? A no brainer!” And then an experienced weaver friend said that table looms are not great shoulder and neck issues, hence the David! So excited by the prospect!
The weaving world is a slippery slope, as my friend pointed out when I told her I was perfectly happy with my rigid heddle. Hahahaha! How right she was!
Having Jane represent their looms is indeed the best decision Louet ever made LOL. Even though I am in the US, I have the David III on order from JST as she is the one who did all the work in making me choose this as my next/final floor loom.
I did get the sectional kit it the mail this week. I have watched the David III assembly video on YouTube several times. I do wish there was a video on how to install the sectional kit. I can't wait to get my new loom, probably still months away.
You’re going to love your David! We were amazed at how well constructed it is, too. It’s a piece of fine furniture. I hope yours arrives soon!
So do I! I ordered some yarn today to do some of the other samples. I really want to do the colour and weave, but I need to wait for the David. I’ doing the Asymmetry tea towels but they look a bit mean pared down for the 40 cm Jane!
Maybe Jane could do a video on that??? Or the American man (Dave?) who does the David III assembly video on YouTube???
The instructions I got in the box made reference that a video would be coming in the future. I'm pretty sure I will get my loom and have the sectional portion installed before then LOL.
We should have a bet on who gets their loom first!
Sadly due to our illustrious PM and Brexit, I can’t really order from JST …. Not that it would have made sense to order the loom from Canada…. I’m thinking more the lovely yarns!
I do have family in Canada though (I was born and raised in BC)…. Thinking of asking them to post me some bits!!! Lol!

My David has arrived and I have just managed to get it all put together!. I must say that it looks a bit daunting after the Jane! Just knowing how to tie up the lams has me guessing. I'm going to go back to the basic samples from Season 1 and start over doing them in order. I LOVED the Colour and Weave gamp and am desperate to start that one!
I also have my new David put together, just need to fine tune the shaft heights etc. We are supposed to put an 8 shaft warp on first to finish the fine tuning. I can't wait to start my first project !!
Crikey! Where did you read about putting on an 8 shaft warp to finish the fine tuning!? I’m a newbie… not sure I’m ready for that!!! 😂
