Thank you Cheryl and Deb!
Cheryl, I'm a rather rare specimen.😊 I'm one of 40 000 inhabitants of the Principality of Liechtenstein, a tiny country between Switzerland and Austria.

Catherine...I must admit that I knew next to nothing about your country before your post.
I dove to the internet to find out more. Your country is truly lovely. And with 100% literacy amongst other things, very unique. And the life expectancy well into the 80's for men and women, you are, as a people, obviously observing a healthy lifestyle.
Thank you for giving me the impetus to expand my knowledge today !!
Wow! I have never known anyone from Liechtenstein! Now I want to go there! Closet I've been is the airport in Zurich.
Love your sauna, too!
OK... FINALLY. There is a long tale of woe attached to this project, which I will not bore you with, but the good part is that I am finally loving Turned Twill! This is Strickler #248.

Wow, the colors! I love turned twill. So glad you got a warp set up for it. What sett are you using? 8/2 cotton?
Love the colours!! Such uplifting cheerful combination :)
Thank you for your response to my question earlier. I can no longer leave a reply in that thread, so I added my reply to the bottom of my original question.
Hi Kit!
The set is 24 epi/24ppi (my first time getting a balanced weave, I think. It's 10/2 Lunatic Fringe Tubular Spectrum, 2/dent in a 12 dent reed. This is the thinnest yarn I have used so far. I had quite an ordeal even getting to where I could start weaving. I miscalculated how many threads I needed per color and ended up having to add 2 in each color section. I only discovered this when I was threading and ran out of threads in the first section. Argh! Needles to say I have many weights hanging off the back. But it's all a learning experience, right?
yes, for sure. I love learning and it doesn't even matter to me if I have threading errors, a few! Whenever I sit at the loom I am feeling joyous, creative and relaxed. It sure is a learning experience. Are you hooked on turned twill? I've woven 8/2 cotton only, so I feel for you with 10/2.
yes! and I have some S hooks and wrenches hanging on the back too
Yes! I am hooked.;)
Deb, these colors are just electric and your weaving is beautiful...as is the photography !!
Wow, summer is here! Just gorgious Deb!
Thanks for the comments to Liechtenstein. It's a very nice place to live but definitifely not worth a holiday trip. Just too small. In fact, you won't notice any difference to Switzerland which offers much more possibilities to visit.
I have been diligently working my way through Season 2. Although I started the Plaid sample in April, I didn't finish until May so I am posting it here. :-) I had some very interesting and totally unexpected learning from this project. Truthfully I was not looking forward to this one because I am not fond of Olive green. But I learned such an important lesson in this exercise, because the optical mixing that occurred was so amazing! I don't think that my Ravelry photos show the colors very accurately, but there are some great colors in these towels. I think my favorite was doing the D/L/DD/L C&W sequence using Pale Limette and Forest. https://ravel.me/firmermml/js2s4p I also took advantage of the longer warp and did some additional samples to see what bambu on cotton is like, and linen on cotton, and boucle on cotton.
Aren’t the surprises that you discover on your weaving journey a delight? Well done, Meridee 👏
Catherine, these are beautiful. I also love the fringes!
I am weaving the Square Fancy Chèche from Handwoven May/June 2023. I would have never believed I could accomplish something like this (Thank you Jane)

Beautiful job, Marie
This looks really great! I was also admiring that project in Handwoven. I like your color choices!
Absolutely gorgeous !!
Meridee, yes, the placemats are made in monk's belt.
Marie, so beautiful!
I'm still waiting for my magazine. Seems to swim over the ozean.
