When I finished weaving Jane’s sample from Episode 3 using 5/2 cotton, I tied on a 2 yard warp of bambu7 to the old warp to weave a huck scarf. I’m finding that shortly into my weaving, I’m losing my shed. I Tied jazz bands to the treadles that are tied up but that doesn’t seem to help. I’m not sure what to do next. Thanks for any help. Diane

I’ve never seen Jazz Bands and had to do a google search ;-) The only thing I wonder about is whether you were able to get the Bambu on your warp beam under even tension and/or were you able to get the warp tied onto your cloth beam secured with double knots and under tension. Bambu can be a slippery warp that you have to control.
Thanks Sandra. Your points are well taken and I think I tied on the bambu 7 warp securely to the old warp. I only used a surgeons know when I tied the warp onto the front beam and had to make sure they were secure. I also found an episode where Jane talked about loosening the tension on the warp to open up the shed more. My warp was very tightly tensioned and when I loosend it that also helped.
