As I was finishing up the 6th placemat, I finally figured out why my project wasn’t looking like the photos in the handout. Instead of threading blocks A on 1,2,3,4 and blocks B on 5,6,7,8, I threaded straight twill 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8….what ??!! Don’t know how I messed this up, but the end results are still making me happy to look at.
Project will be used for placemats (look lovely with my Fiestaware) and hand towels. The width in reed was narrowed down to 15 inches. The photos show my placemats washed and pressed, but the hand hemming has not been started yet.
