I'm curious if anyone knows the dimensions of the towels Jane shows in episode 2.3.5. They seem pretty big.

Some are, some aren’t - I’m not in the Studio so I don’t have access to them to measure. Tea towels can be any size you want, often ranging between 21” wide to 24 “ and then you make them long enough to make a nice rectangle. No rules, it sometimes is what your loom can handle in the width. If you look at the tea towel kits in the JST shop, you’ll find that there are a variety of widths and therefore, lengths -

I adapted Janes patterns for towels to my 15" wide 4h loom (Leclerc Dorothy). When I dressed it for the full width, I was annoyed at the selvedge, because truthfully the loom cannot handle 15" wide warps at the back beam...so I now am weaving towels/napkins/skinny towels in twill variations and love them. My wife is a chef and she loves the mixed sizes in her kitchen! On my 4h Leclerc Nilus, I'm weaving 24" wide and about 30" long. For the first few samples of Inspiration from a sari colors I cut off the towels after each one was finished so I could do the finishing and wash and dry to check them out. I don't think size matters really. What matters to me is the "hand" of the towel, and I like the twill variations better than plain weave, but I love learning Janes way of throwing the shuttle and getting a "beat" going at the loom for the plain weave.
