Hi, Everyone! Hope all's going well where you are!

I think I've finally figured out the throwing tension and my edges have relaxed a bit. I don't have quite so much draw-in and it doesn't sound like my reed's chewing up my warp. : ) Finally! I put my shuttle through and pull until the thread is straight and then I let off before I beat. I think the other part of the whole thing is, with my 8/2 (2/8) cotton at 18 epi x18 ppi, I've got more negative space to work with now even though my warp is still pretty taut. So pleased. My first color & weave gamp looks like a dish towel, but I made a scarf out of it so we'll see. I wish I could share pictures, but something just isn't working. Oh well.

Hi Jon, that is good news - congratulations ! Watching Jane´s videos on how to weave and how to throw the shuttle made a big difference to my weaving. I feel more comfortable and relaxed at the loom and the fabrics look far better now.
I´d love to see pictures of your scarf !

Hi, Monika! How's the hand? I'm so glad you're back at your loom again.
It took quite a while to figure out what Jane must be doing since you can't really see her thread in the shed or what she does with it. There's hardly any manipulation at all, but there is a bit and it has made a difference. I'm so tickled at just how well it works. Even on my big old Glimåkra looms. It all works! I'll send you a picture of my work on FB. This platform won't allow me to post pictures and I'm too stupid to figure out what the problem is. Oh well.
