I’m weaving 2inch colour blocks and in order to avoid snipping constantly i’ve been trying do weave with 2 shuttles. One shuttle dormant whilst the active shuttle is building weft colour.

I’ve watched videos and i still don’t think i’m doing it right as the selvidge looks odd.

I thought i’d sorted it so the selvidge looks straight but in reverse of cloth you can see dormant colour so worry it’ll look weird.

Any help? Is 2inches just too long?

Photo? Are you wrapping the carried weft with the active weft along the selvedge? IMHO 2 inches is too long to carry the inactive weft.
