I just purchased some 12 gauge bamboo and 30/2 silk from Jane. I am thinking of making a turned twill at 30 epi. I have checked your master sett chart and it doesn't have that combination. The bamboo would be the warp and the silk the weft. Does anyone have experience with this combination and do you think this sett is appropriate. This is the first time I have woven with silk and don't want to waste it. Thanks for your help.

I’m sure that someone will have a perfect answer but if you are impatient (like I am when wanting to get weaving) check out Jane’s video in season 1, episode 4, “Let’s Have a Little Chat About Sett”. Once I wrapped my brain around that I was able to fairly accurately calculate the sett for any weaving project I have done. I think that was one of the most important and useful videos so far in any season (although every single vid is a treasure trove of info).
