I am trying to use a 10 dent reed for a project that requires 64 dents/inch. How would I sley that reed? The charts only go to 50 and I can't really figure out the pattern. Thanks.

Maybe this will help? Im too distracted to try this at the moment.
Thank you! I’ll try that.
You could do 6, 6, 7, 6, 6, 7, 6, 6, 7, 7 repeated. That would give you an average of 64 ends per inch.
I'm curious about what type of yarn you're using for your project.
Thank you so much!
Forgot to add the yarn: 8/2 organic cotton for the warp.
I think that there might be a typo in the pattern you have. 8/2 cotton is usually set at between 16 and 22 ends per inch. I don't think it would be possible to weave it at 64 ends per inch.
It’s a warp facing pattern that’s unique to anything I’ve done before for sure. I’ll let you know how it goes.
That does sound extremely dense for 8/2 cotton, even warp faced. I would put on a narrow short warp first and see if it's even possible before committing to a wider and longer warp.
This is a comment from Madelyn Van Der Hoogt at Handwoven Magazine.regarding using 8/2 cotton for warp faced / rep weave :
" The issue with 8/2 (which I think I'd sett at 50 or doubled at 25) is that if it is unmercerized, it is likely to be sticky and resist shed formation. "
I promised a reply when I got this beast warped. And it’s all working out well. Might not be perfect but it worked out. I can’t seem to upload a photo but there are a couple on my Instagram account; marydbabrber
I would love to see photos if you can post them here. Here's a link to Imgbb site to use to upload photos to this forum.

Thank you for that. Hopefully, this will work: https://ibb.co/bvQVXmX
I really like that. Was it hard to weave with the dense warp?
It wasn’t hard to weave. I had a good shed, but couldn’t get the EPI as dense as the pattern recommended. I do like it, though.
Great job! Did you experience much abrasion?
No. I really didn’t.
That looks lovely. I really like those two colours together. I have never done warp faced weaving, so could you tell me what you used for the weft? Thank you.
This pattern uses three strands of 3/4 organic cotton.
Katherine- check out season 3 episode for Rep weave for warp faced. There’s also an episode on weft faced. Both are interesting in how design is achieved.
Thanks Mary and nato for that information. Lots to learn!
