Hi,
I'm threading 8/2 dish towels onto heddles on an old Baby Wolf with new metal heddles and I just realized I didn't consider how many heddles were on each side.
There's a hook holding each shaft that prevents me from easily sliding heddles to the far side.
Is this fatal? Is there a way to move some heddles over without unthreading?
I'm making a lot of beginner errors but this one . . . argh!
Thanks,
Julia
Hi Julia, I had a similar problem on my Ashford Jack loom. There are two hooks on each shaft.
They are holding the (upper and lower) metal bar (with the heddles on it) to the (wooden) shaft/frame. They must be opened to move the heddles and secured again after threading the heddles. Hope this is a little comfort to you. Best wishes Tina, Austria
