Well, just off the loom. Now I have two naked 8 H looms, and a 4H loom. Tea Towels, 8/2 Cotton Warp and Weft, Jane's draft with Kit's colors

Just did the wet finishing on this blanket today. It's my first attempt at weaving Double Width. Weaving was fast and I only had to fix a couple of floats that were on the bottom layer and thus invisible as I was weaving.

I wish the fold line was more invisible, but this blanket will be great to warm me up come this winter. Yarn was Harrisville Shetland at 10 ppi and epi.

Following on from the Overshot Name Drafting episode, I designed this for a friend who has just moved house and I’m making her a wall hanging. The phrase I used is based on a Welsh saying which roughly translated means “ A place for the soul to find peace”. It took quite a while to make a draft that looked nice but then I discovered that there are so many ways to treadle it using just a simple 2/2 twill tie up! So the photos show, tromp as writ, rose fashion and on opposites! I shall have to weave them all again as the backs are as lovely as the fronts! The base yarn is 40/2 linen and the weft is some of my handspun silk! So thanks Jane for this lovely idea!
