Somewhere in the last season or two, Jane showed how to cut off the woven cloth mid-warp while maintaining your tension and with very little warp thread loss. It involved inserting a couple of lease sticks between plain weave sections and tying the sticks to the apron bar. For the life of me, I cannot find it.

I do use washable glue between towels though. Works like a charm.
Thank you! I want to wash and dry some of the current project to check the sett, etc. but don't want to waste a lot of yarn. Also, I've found that toward the last half of a long warp my knees can get uncomfortably shoved up against the cloth beam on my David, so I might be using this technique often.
