I'm going to be weaving with some very very tiny thin threads, and I want to experiment with different EPIs all the way from 60 to 12 (i guess?). I want to put a test warp on my loom, and set it up like so:
4" at 60 EPI
4" at 48 EPI
4" at 36 EPI
4" at 24 EPI
4" at 12 EPI
So my question is... is that a bad idea to put different densities like that on the same warp? Or would it be better to set my warp at 60, weave some, cut it, and re tie on at a different EPI?
It would be much easier to make a warp and re-sley it…..you have a huge differential there between 12 and 60 with one size of yarn. Start somewhere in the middle and then make educated decisions after you take each piece off and wash it. You may end up not going anywhere near 12 EPI in the end or anywhere near 60. EPI.
