In this episode, we start with a simple 4 shaft version and take it on a lovely journey exploring C&W sequences on both sides of the cloth and then finishing up creating two completely different graphics on each side of the placemat using completely different colours. Such fun! All this on a straight draw threading on 4 shafts. This project illustrates how we can combine so much of our previous study and bring it forward in a new way.

Then we do it all again on 8 shafts, starting with two completely different graphics in true double weave on each side of the placemat with completely different colours in the warp on each side. I had so much fun playing with graphic and then bringing over the loud colour cousins from Parrot to weave on top of our muted warp. We didn't stop there....we learned more about our tie-up and unhinged the entire lot opening them up to become 2/2 twill double-width blankies.
