I think I'm adverse to orange. It works in the warp, but I don't like it in the weft. We'll see when towel #3 is off the loom. Cool tones are more my style. But I thought I'd do this warp to have a change of cotton color selections. Towel #4 for me will be a change in tie-up to Season 6 #4

Beautiful colours, and I love the complexity of the individual segments in the woven cloth.

this photo really shows how cool the tone the cerise cotton is, compared to the warm tones of the next towel. Reds are so fun to work with.

I take lots of photos with my phone, but without some notes attached to them, I forget what I did when I want to mirror from the middle of the towel to the end.

Yes, I started using my phone with added notes too. It really helps with record keeping. I've even started making "organized" files of my projects on my lap top. It helps when you gift a favorite and can't remember how you did it.

for sure...turned twill is my favorite structure. I love seasons 5 and 6 for the tie-ups available to mix turned twill with other structures too, like lace, and diced triangles. thanks so much. This palette is really wild for me

Wow - lovely intricate patterns!

I faithfully watch and take notes on the lessons as they are released (and rewatch some of them many times). I weave the projects that speak to me, or fulfill a need (gifts etc.). But, I am not a new weaver.

I joined watched all the seasons and jumped to Season 5, 6. I've returned to watching and viewing the pdfs from the other seasons as needed. But, I have been weaving for a long time, although fabric, cloth via JST is new for me. And I rarely follow the color that Jane uses, but use her drafts as a starting point for fun. The current warp (above) is based on Jane's draft for season 6, but I added gradations in each of the 5 sections. And her lessons on division of space and fibonacci are not to be missed.

Beautiful! I'm generally a low-contrast girl (the gold is right up my alley) but the black on white is striking. It reminds me of the architecturally inspired projects in the recent Handwoven issue. The black blocks look like windows : )

Thanks Kathleen and Gillian, The gold scarf matches my gold parka perfectly and will get a lot of use. The black and white one was really fun to weave and it does look architectural now that you mention it. I have mostly black, natural and cream colored linen clothes for warm weather wear and I was thinking that this scarf will be great for spring time wear.

Absolutely beautiful, especially the golden one, like those short fringes too!
